GLACIER
course
3 day course that will teach you how to travel safely on naked glaciers (not snow covered). Knowledge and skill gain on this course can be used either for personal travel and/or going into the guiding world. The total duration of the course is estimated between 22-24h and the guest to guide ratio is 6:1.
The course will start and end in the Skaftafell area. The exact meeting location will be sent to all of the participants before the course via email.
Our instructors are all in the instructor program of AIMG.

Prerequisites:
This course does not have any set prerequisites. Things that are highly beneficial:
- Basic mountaineering and/or outdoors skills
- Experience with crampons and other ice equipment
- Basic rope management skills and knowledge of knots
