Glacier techniques is our most adventurous glacier tour for those looking for a challenge when in Iceland and certainly a unique experience.

The trip starts with a 4×4 transfer to one of the many outlet glaciers in the area that descend from the Vatnajökull ice cap.
As this tour is for the more adventurous, we make sure to scout out some of the best routes to ensure a day of fun (and a little hard work) up on the ice. The tour encompasses hiking, ice climbing and learning about glacier travel.
By the end of the trip you should have a better understanding of glaciers in Iceland, some of the geological and historical features, ice climbing techniques and rope safety.

This small group tour is perfect for people that are looking for a great day out on the glacier. This is an intimate and informative way to discover the secrets of Iceland’s incredible glaciers.

What to bring:

Outdoor clothes (including fleece and waterproof jacket), warm gloves, a small backpack with a drink and some lunch/snacks, sunglasses (recommended in springtime).
